Leakthina Chau-Pech Ollier

Leakthina Chau-Pech Ollier is a critic and editor.

She was born and raised in Cambodia. At the age of the ten she moved to France and at sixteen to the United States. She received her Ph.D. in French literature from the University of California, Los Angeles, and taught at Bowdoin College, Maine, and the University of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Her scholarly work on Southeast Asia includes two volumes of essays she co-edited: Expressions of Cambodia: The Politics of Tradition, Identity and Change (London: RoutledgeCurzon, 2006) and an edited volume, Of Vietnam: Identities in Dialogue (New York: Palgrave McMillan, 2001). Leakthina now lives in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and is working on her first novel.
